West of Fey Culdonia, on the hills of Nathrach lie the descendents of the former greatness that were most of the Ancient Holds. These Clans of Dwarves were displaced by the violence at the tail end of the Lost Wars, forced or choosing to leave the bloodied and dangerous ancestral homes and given these lands by the Elves and the generosity of Perius. Their homes are below and above the undulating land not too far from their estranged bloodlines of the Western Holds. Their lives and names have changed, separating themselves from the horrors and history past.
Hector Dubbin and the Dubbin Clan hold the honor of leaders of these people, though they eschew even the old title of Triath in favor of Kennedy, but retain all the rights and obligations related with the office. Some genealogists — mostly Gnomes — have attempted to draw lines of heritage and uncover which families originated from which of the Ancient Holds, but have been largely unsuccessful. The Dwarves of Nathrach are more congenial than their Western brethren, by sheer requirement of their central locale and the ease of entering their lands, but information is kept exceedingly tight-lipped.
Dubbins, Thadds, and Orinns are the most known of the Hill Clans, while the more inward Clans are far less known, or even seen. Together, these outer Clans are known to beat some of the best armor outside of the Culdonia, and are renowned for the detail and intricacy that they can lace into stone itself.
